Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Overview

• Level III Trauma Center with 48 beds (including flex space)
• Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
• Equipment includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat POC, Ultrasound Guided IV
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
• Patient population includes ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, Psychiatric patients

Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Emergency Medicine
• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Minimum of two weekends per schedule
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: None
• Team nursing and Pod System model
• Social Worker and Unit Educator assigned to the department

Required Qualifications

• Education: RN with ADN
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (all must be from AHA)
• Years of Experience in Emergency Department: Minimum 2 years (preferred 2 years in ED)
• Must have skills/experience in Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation

• ESRD (End-Stage Renal Disease)
• Substance Abuse Disorders
• Psychological Disorders
• COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
• CHF (Congestive Heart Failure)
• Abdominal Pain
• Chest Pain

• No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position
• Located in a scenic area with access to outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and historical sightseeing
• Close proximity to Durango, CO (1 hour drive) and Albuquerque, NM (3 hour drive)
