Physical Therapist Job Opportunity

Location: Spooner, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Primarily outpatient caseload (>95%) including orthopedic cases involving all joints/body regions, post-op shoulders, knees, hips, ankles, balance/falls, and CVA patients.
• Some inpatient and swing bed care required; caseload varies.
• Average patients treated per day: 9-10.
• Care coordination with Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology may be necessary depending on patient diagnosis.

Schedule & Work Hours

• Dayshift, Tuesday through Friday.
• Two possible schedules:

  • Four 10-hour days (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM) totaling 40 hours per week.
  • Four 9-hour days (8:00 AM – 5:30 PM) totaling 36 hours per week.
• Weekend and holiday coverage not required (facility closed).
• Flexible scheduling options considered: 4x10’s or 3x12’s possible.

Work Environment

• Private treatment rooms and two gyms available.
• 60-minute initial evaluations with 30 minutes for documentation.
• Follow-up sessions are 45 minutes, one-on-one with the therapist.
• 30-minute lunch and 30-minute note/documentation time built into the end of the day.
• Business casual or professional athletic attire with closed-toe shoes required.

Required Qualifications

• Physical Therapist license valid in Wisconsin.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage caseload independently.
• Experience with Epic EMR system preferred.

Support & Supervision

• Onsite PT Manager available; alternate contact appointed when manager is off.
• Rehab aides and one knowledgeable PTA available to assist.

Orientation & Training

• Department-specific orientation with a clear plan in place.

This position is suitable for a Physical Therapist comfortable with a predominantly outpatient orthopedic caseload, able to work independently, and interested in a consistent weekday schedule without weekend or holiday shifts.
