Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED Main)

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care using specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for adult cardiac and complex internal medicine patients.
  • Deliver culturally based and age-specific care in partnership with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department with an all-RN nursing staff.
  • Adhere to the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and Ohio Nurse Practice Act scope of practice.

Unit Description

  • 33-bed emergency department specializing in adult cardiac care and complex internal medicine.
  • Staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, nurses, physician assistants, and social workers.
  • High-acuity patient population requiring excellent critical thinking skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Ohio.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide age- and culturally specific patient care and education.
  • Effective communication skills with peers and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Commitment to maintaining competence and continuing professional growth.
  • Ability to accept and implement change and work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
