Job Description

Provide nursing care to pediatric oncology patients under general supervision.
Manage an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments.
Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
Monitor physiological data and intervene as necessary.
Administer medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
Deliver competent patient care and communicate care plans to patients and families.
Make referrals for patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff.

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Experience

Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience, including pediatric hematology/oncology experience within the last year.

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
APHON Chemotherapy certification.
Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification.
