Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery (Operating Room)

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Must have 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience in a busy OR department.
EPIC experience is required.
Work schedule: Five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 06:45 AM to 3:15 PM.
On-call requirement: one night every 2 weeks and one weekend every 6 weeks.
Workday hours may extend depending on case load.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois.
Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year.
BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Operating Room (OR) experience.
Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
