Job Opportunity: RN Critical Care (LTA)

Location: Chino, California

Job Description

  • Provide safe patient care using nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Deliver direct patient care within scope of practice in the ICU.
  • Guide patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care.
  • Responsible and accountable for assigned patients’ care.
  • Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to patient condition changes or treatment responses.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Current and valid California RN License.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital critical care setting.
  • CCRN (Critical Care RN) certification preferred but not required.
  • COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred.
  • Experience with MEPIC EMR system required.

Contract Length

  • Approximately 26 weeks (interpreted as weeks).

Onboarding & Credentialing Requirements

  • Professional Credentials:

    • Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (valid 2 years)
    • Driver’s License/State ID or Passport
    • Prime OIG check
    • Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion search
    • Resume submission required
    • Two professional references required
    • Agency attestation and signed job description
  • Certifications:

    • BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
    • ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
    • DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention training)
  • Testing & Exams:

    • Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
    • Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80%)
    • Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
    • Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
    • Prime Skills Checklist
  • Personal Health & Immunizations:

    • Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel including THC; CA law requires urine test excluding THC plus saliva THC test) within 60 days of start
    • Color-blind test (annual)
    • COVID-19 Vaccine (2 doses + booster or declination)
    • MMR (proof of immunity or declination)
    • Fit Test (annual respirator fit test, must be completed prior to start if not done onsite)
    • Hepatitis B (declinations accepted)
    • Influenza Vaccine (required Nov 1 - Mar 31; declinations accepted except at some locations)
    • TB Test (within 6 months)
    • Varicella (proof of immunity or declination)
    • Tdap (declinations accepted)
    • Physical/Health Statement (clear to work, within 1 year)
  • Background Checks:

    • National Criminal Background Check within 1 year of start date (some state/unit exceptions apply)
  • Optional:

    • Name Verification Affidavit (if name discrepancies exist)
    • Badge Photo (facility specific)
    • Certificate of Authenticity (COA)
