Travel/Contract Therapy/Rehabilitation Position
Location: Fayetteville, Georgia
Facility: Piedmont Fayette Hospital

Unit Details
- Patient Diagnoses: Orthopedics, Neurology, Vestibular, Oncology (outpatient setting)
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday
- No weekend shifts or on-call required
- Floating: Within facility and scope of practice
- Minimum Experience: 1 year; first-time travelers accepted
Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 16 weeks
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Holidays: Expected to work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
- Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
- Locals accepted at same rate
Required Certifications & Competencies
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for certain specialties (e.g., ER, PACU, Critical Care). Must be current; RQI accepted.
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required except for Microbiology and Med Techs. Must be current; RQI accepted.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for RNs in PACU, ER, and other pediatric-accepting areas.
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Online course required within a few months of hire (no re-certification needed).
- Tech Cert Verification: Allied annual license verification within 30 days prior to start.
- State License Verification: Must be valid and verified within 30 days prior to start. CRTs & RRTs must be licensed in Georgia.
- NURSYS Verification: Annual verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 30 days prior to start.
- NIH Stroke Certification: May be required depending on specialty.
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required for RNs and LVNs by Aya only.
- Color Blind Testing: Required for all candidates; alternative assessment available if needed.
- Competency Exam: Required for Nursing and Allied by Aya only.
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required for Telemetry, ICU, ER, and related units; max 3 attempts allowed.
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Review and sign Piedmont Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start.
- Mammography techs require additional certifications and documentation (Mammo Training, 3D Mammography, Digital Cert, 200 mammography exams in last 2 years).
- Delineation of Privileges required only for CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant and RNFA specialties.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start.
- TB Testing: Negative PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 12 months; TB Questionnaire required annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; boosters may be required.
- Hepatitis B: Series, surface antibody titer, or signed declination required.
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters may be required.
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; instant drug screen acceptable under certain conditions.
- Flu Vaccination: Required or declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31).
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Required or declination; strongly encouraged by Oct 31.
Background & History Checks
- Background check required within 30 days of start, including criminal, sex offender, education verification, and more.
- Two clinical references required by Aya (not required by client).
- Skills checklist updated within 12 months required.
- Diploma/transcript required for RRTs.
- Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof of processing.
- Education verification required; can be pending at start with proof of processing.
Additional Notes
- Clinical screening will be conducted to determine fit before final manager approval.
- Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks).
- Floating assignments are within the facility and scope of practice.
- Full compliance with all documentation and credentialing is mandatory to avoid delays.
