Registered Nurse - LTAC
Location: Columbia, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must have 2 years current experience with strong LTAC skills.
- Experience required with tracheostomies, ventilators, and drips.
- Patient ratios can be 1:5-6.
- Every Other Week (EOW) schedule.
- Local candidates considered same as travel.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
- Minimum 2 years of current experience in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC), including experience within the last year.
- Experience and skills in tracheostomy (trach) care and ventilator (vent) management.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience working in a Long Term Acute Care setting.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Unexpired government-issued photo ID.
- Background checks including SS Trace, County searches (last 7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (if applicable), State License verification, NURSYS verification.
- Competency exams as applicable.
- Facility-specific documents including orientation and policy acknowledgments.
- Health documents:
- Physical exam within last 12 months.
- Fit testing with N95 mask within past year.
- Immunizations: Tdap, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (vaccines or positive titers or declinations as applicable).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months.
- TB questionnaire within 6 months.
- Drug screening within last 12 months.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season.
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination.
- References: 2 professional references within last 3 years.
- Employment application and skills checklist required.
- Missouri-specific electronic driver’s license search within 30 days prior to start.
