MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), Monday through Friday with a rotating day off each week
- On-call requirement: 1-2 nights per week and every 4th or 5th weekend depending on staffing
- Weekend requirement: May be required to participate in weekend or weekend call rotation
- Daily caseload: Approximately 15 patients
- Floating: No floating within or to sister facilities
- Locals: Not accepted within a 70-mile radius
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must shave for mask fit testing; no exceptions for use of personal PAPRs or CAPRs
- Facility type: Pediatric short-term acute care hospital, Pediatric Level I Trauma Center
- Charting system: EPIC
- Parking: Free
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist within the last year
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Experience with contrast administration
- BLS certification required
- Experience with EPIC charting system
Licensure
- Must hold a valid MRI Tech license as applicable for Missouri
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Criminal background check within 12 months, including SSN trace, 7-year county residence/work history, nationwide search, and sex offender search
- Missouri-specific Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) registration and results required prior to start
- Missouri EDL search required prior to start
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
- Negative drug screen within 12 months of start
- TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if PPD positive
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination (for new candidates)
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
- Preferred: COVID vaccine series documentation
- OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit testing done onsite during orientation)
- Fit test record must be submitted within two weeks of start date
- Candidates must complete facility-specific orientation modules and sign confidentiality and ethical conduct agreements prior to start
- Post-start orientation checklists must be completed and submitted within the first week
Additional Notes
- Travelers may be required to participate in holiday rotations
- Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager’s discretion
- No floating outside of the assigned facility
- Candidates must comply with strict mask fit testing policies; failure to shave for fit testing will result in cancellation of assignment
