Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Jefferson City, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Summary

• Requires 4 years of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics specialty.
• Open to first-time travelers.
• No local candidates within 50 miles allowed.
• Position is very active and involves physical demands such as ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs.
• Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is routine.
• Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
• Rotating shifts, holiday work, and work during inclement weather are required.
• Must be able to:

  • Work full contract term at assigned location.
  • Work the majority of assigned shift hours.
  • Take call.
  • Work assigned weekends.
  • Work at least 50% of holidays during the contract.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Recent Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year

Additional Requirements

• Photo ID (driver’s license or state ID) required.
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation required.
• Resume must include at least 7 years of employment history with no gaps over 30 days.
• Two professional references from the last 2 years required.
• Completion of orientation safety manual and HIPAA acknowledgment.
• Must complete medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable.
• Must be able to work onsite at the assigned location for the full contract duration.

Physical & Work Environment

• Active role requiring physical stamina.
• Exposure to contagious illnesses.
• Work includes rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather conditions.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required.
• All certifications must be current and from approved organizations (AHA or ARC).
• Candidates with positive TB results must follow facility-specific INH treatment or recommendations.
• Fit testing is not required for Medical Technologists, Pharmacy Techs, or Sterile Processing Techs but is required for Respiratory Therapists.
• Facility-specific forms and documentation must be completed within specified timeframes.
