Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PACU

Shift Details

Day shifts, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
Variable start times: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM

Job Description

Provide recovery care for patients after procedures
Manage overall nursing care from admission to discharge
Ensure patient safety, comfort, hygiene, and protection
Respond to medical and environmental emergencies
Coordinate care delivery efficiently and compassionately
Serve as liaison between nursing, medical staff, patients, and families
Administer treatments, medications, and nursing skills timely
Conduct initial and ongoing patient/family assessments including biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning factors
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Monitor patient acuity and communicate significant changes to physicians
Implement precautions to reduce risk of untoward events

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
