PICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity
Location: Portland, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (PICU)
- Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per week: 36
- Weekends: Minimum every 3rd weekend, with occasional extra weekend shifts as needed
- Must be willing to float within the site and across the system; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation
- Charting system: EPIC
- Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
- Facility type: Children’s hospital
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – American Heart Association
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Additional Requirements
- Must sign Floating Acknowledgement form
- Two professional references required (supervisory or above, within 3 years)
- Mandatory cancellation policy: must cancel 1.5 hours before shift start for low census; personnel may be mandatorily cancelled one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty
Important Notes
- Start dates available: June 3 and June 17
- Scrub color: Any color except black and camo for all specialties/units
- Refusal to float as requested will result in contract cancellation
This position is ideal for a PICU RN with pediatric critical care experience, EPIC proficiency, and required pediatric certifications seeking a night-shift travel assignment in a children’s hospital setting.
