Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Valid Driver’s License or State ID
Background checks including:
- National Criminal Check
- State and County Searches (10 years, all aliases)
- SSN Trace with all aliases
- National Sex Offender Registry
- FACIS Level 3
- EPLS/GSA/SAM
- HHS/OIG
Education verification with official transcript or diploma including graduation date
Missouri EDL Search within 30 days of start
Primary source verification of state license within 30 days of start
Professional references: 2 within last 3 years

Health & Safety Requirements

Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
Fit mask testing completed onsite at orientation
Negative TB test (PPD, Q-Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year, updated annually
- For positive TB results, chest x-ray within 6 months and annual TB questionnaire required
Immunizations or proof of immunity (2 vaccines, positive titer, or declination accepted) for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or declination
Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season or approved medical/religious exemption (mask required if exempt)
Drug screen within 30 days of start (not required annually) covering a comprehensive panel of substances

Competency & Testing Requirements

Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam with a passing score of 84% or higher (2 attempts allowed; ICU unit has 1 attempt only)
Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Orientation safety manual acknowledgement (annual)
Pass/fail testing related to specialty as required

Additional Information

Scrubs of any color allowed
Return-to-Office (RTO) limit: 2 requests per contract
Confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, and other facility-specific documents must be reviewed and signed prior to start
Onsite training and orientation required, including fit testing and possible AVADE training if contract is extended

This position offers a structured night shift schedule with a defined patient ratio and supports first-time travel therapists. Compliance with comprehensive background checks, health screenings, and competency testing is mandatory.
