Location: Edmonds, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Specialty: Surgical Services with focus on Obstetrics (OB)
• Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • At least 3 years of experience specifically in OB
• Patient Population:

  • Patients with pregnancy of 15 weeks gestational age or greater on the labor and delivery unit
• Procedures Involved:

  • Cesarean sections (singleton and twins)
  • Tubal ligation
  • Hysterectomy
  • Cystoscopy
  • Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
  • Vaginal laceration repair
  • Hemorrhage management
  • Attendance at vaginal delivery
• Equipment Used:

  • Electrosurgical Unit (ESU)/cautery with smoke evacuation system
  • Neptune surgical waste management system
  • Suction D&C machine
• Staffing Ratio: 1:1 to 1 patient

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Washington
• Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Recent Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation

• Candidates previously employed at any affiliated facility must have a minimum 3-month separation before qualifying for this travel position.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this role.
• All documentation and certifications must be current and verifiable.
• Candidates must be prepared to work night shifts with a 1:1 patient staffing ratio.
