Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Echo Technologist (1 year of experience)
• Echo Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ARDMS

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Shift times rotate between 7:00 AM–5:30 PM and 8:00 AM–6:30 PM
• Every other weekend
• Call required, including holiday call
• May float within the department and facility, including to a sister campus
• Expected to work assigned major holidays if they fall during the assignment
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off

Clinical Skills

• Operates ultrasound equipment for diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures
• Provides patient services using ultrasound equipment
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology
• Experience with 2D/3D echo, bubble study, color Doppler, imaging with contrast agents, pharmacologic stress echos, TEE, and treadmill stress echos
• Works with neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

Compliance and Onboarding

• Full compliance is required to start on time
• Background check must be complete before start
• Education verification is required and may be pending at start with proof it is in progress
• Physical exam required by the staffing agency
• TB screening required
• Drug screen required
• Flu vaccination or declination required
• Two clinical references required by the staffing agency
• Skills checklist required within 12 months and updated annually
• Work history verification required for the most recent employer
