Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Charleston, South Carolina
- Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity
- Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
- Holiday rotation required
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager’s discretion
- Local candidates are accepted within a 60-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- CVPICU (2 years of experience)
- CVPICU experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Cardiovascular (CV) experience
Preferred Qualifications
- VAD experience
- ACLS certification
Work Setting
- Pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit
- Cares for congenital heart disease patients of any age based on care needs
- Common care includes cardiac surgery, ventricular assist devices, heart transplant, cardiac catheterization, ECMO/CRRT, and other complex supportive therapies
- All beds are monitored
Additional Notes
- Travel pairs are not accepted
- RTO must be submitted at time of application and is subject to unit needs
- Guaranteed hours are not provided; cancellation may occur one shift per 2 weeks
- Parking requires a $20 registration fee for a hang tag; additional parking fees may apply outside the designated garage
- EPIC is used for charting
