Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Portland, Oregon
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- No call
- 13-week contract
Unit / Setting
- Supports NICU, PICU, emergency department, and pediatric & adult acute/intermediate care wards
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in Oregon
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- 2 years of Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- EPIC experience
Responsibilities
- Provide bedside respiratory care modalities per hospital and departmental guidelines
- Perform therapeutic interventions including airway management, therapeutic gases, ventilator management, newborn resuscitation, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Perform diagnostic procedures including arterial blood sampling, bedside spirometry, spontaneous ventilatory parameters, and point of care testing
- Train new Respiratory Therapists, students, and other healthcare team members
