Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

Night shift, 4x10 hours
21:00 to 07:30
40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Urology experience
Bariatric experience
ENT Surgery experience
Plastic Surgery experience
Experience with Epic

Required Certifications and Competencies

BLS
ACLS
PALS
NRP
ENPC
NIH Stroke Certification
EFM
CPI or MAB
Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
Competency exam specific to specialty
HIPAA competency
Color blind testing
Pass/fail testing for EKG and medication, if assigned to applicable units
Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing, if assigned to applicable units
Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
State license verification
NURSYS verification

Work Expectations

Call required 1–2 shifts per week, including nights and weekends
2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule
Service lines include urology, pediatric urology, pediatric general surgery, bariatric surgery, plastics, ENT, DaVinci robotic surgery, and some GYN
No block scheduling requests
No local candidates

Physical exam within 1 year of start
Fit testing within 1 year of start
Tdap within the past 10 years
Negative TB test or chest x-ray with required documentation
Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity or vaccination documentation
Drug test started within 72 hours of booking and within 30 days of start
Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
2 professional references from employment within the last 3 years, including 1 supervisory reference
