MS/Tele Float

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Saint Louis, Missouri.
• Short Term Acute Care setting.
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45–19:15.
• 36 hours per week.
• Contract length: 15 weeks.
• Start date: 3–4 weeks out per compliance tier, with biweekly starts.
• Ratios: 1:5–6 on days and weekends; 1:6 on nights.
• First-timers accepted.
• No on-call.
• No block schedule.
• Local candidates are not accepted; 75-mile radius rule.
• Pending license accepted.
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks.
• RTO limit: no more than 7 days per 13-week contract.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
• EPIC charting.
• Free parking.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri.
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience with 2 years of experience.
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
• IV Certification.
• Telemetry.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Oncology experience.
• Nephrology experience.
• Neurology experience.
• Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule minimum, plus holiday rotation.
• Government-issued ID.
• Missouri license verification.
• NURSYS verification.
• Primary source verification of professional license.
• Unit-specific competency exam.
• Unit-specific skills checklist within 1 year of start.
• Two professional references.
• Employment application.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Fit mask.
• Tdap vaccine or Aya declination.
• Negative TB or chest x-ray.
• Rubeola immunity documentation.
• Mumps immunity documentation.
• Rubella immunity documentation.
• Varicella immunity documentation.
• Drug testing within 1 year of start.
• Flu vaccination or exemption during flu season.
• HIPAA acknowledgement.
• Latex allergy questionnaire.
• Confidentiality form.
• Regulatory compliance education.
• Hep B declination.
• SSN & DOB confirmation.
• TB questionnaire.
• Hand hygiene policy review and signature.
• Fingernail policy review and initial.
• Dress code policy review and signature.
• Orientation modules for all RNs and LVNs.
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable by profession.

Preferred

• NIH.
• Supervisors within the last year for references.

Float Scope

• Floats to all Medical units, renal, oncology, and neuro.
• Nurses will float between medical, surgical, oncology, neuro, and cardiology units.
