Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER) - New Hampshire, Manchester

Job Type

  • Experience with Pediatric (PEDS) population highly preferred
  • Prior travel experience required (first-time travelers NOT accepted)

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Provider only
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA Provider only
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Provider only

Required Skills

  • General Emergency Department skills (combined Adult/Pediatric)
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Triage skills
  • Epic electronic health record experience required

Preferred Skills

  • Pediatric experience

Shift Details

  • 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • No call requirement
  • Floating expectations: may float to ICU and ED for helping hands and patient sitting
  • Team nursing approach; will not take patients outside clinical assignment or team

Orientation

  • 36 hours to 1 week of class/clinical time

Scrubs

  • Any color allowed

Additional Requirements

  • Travelers who have ever been employed by the associated health system are not considered
  • Two current professional references within the last 3 years required (one must be from a supervisor or charge RN)
  • Background checks and verifications required (including Social Security, criminal, education, drug screening, etc.)
  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
  • Annual fit mask test required
  • Immunizations and titers required: Tdap, TB test or chest x-ray, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccination (or approved exemption)
  • Drug screen: 10 panel within 14 days prior to start
  • Pass/fail Basic Dysrhythmia EKG exam required within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Respiratory safety clearance required
  • Facility-specific immunization exemption forms and waivers may be required for religious or medical exemptions

This position is ideal for experienced ER Registered Nurses with pediatric experience who have prior travel contract experience and are comfortable working night shifts in a busy emergency department environment.
