Registered Nurse - Medicine Pediatrics

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift (18:45 - 07:15)
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Job Description

Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex under general supervision. Core responsibilities include:

Managing an assigned group of patients
Documenting patient responses and changes in physician orders
Assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
Monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed
Administering medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products
Delivering competent patient care
Communicating care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families
Making referrals for patient care needs
Delegating tasks to support staff

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Experience

Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience within the last year

Licensure & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association

Additional Information
