Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Job Summary

• Provides competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting
• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process
• Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director

Key Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and families, including readiness to learn, developmental level, and discharge needs
• Plans and updates care with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Delivers care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required
• Supports unit goals, performance improvement, communication, and a safe hospital environment
