Job Opportunity: RN ICU - Pediatrics

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Registered Nurse (Direct Care)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Under general supervision, provide nursing care to pediatric ICU patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing an assigned group of patients.
  • Documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments.
  • Assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary.
  • Administering medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
  • Delivering competent patient care.
  • Communicating care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
  • Informing patients and families about hospital procedures.
  • Making referrals for patient care needs.
  • Delegating tasks to support staff.
  • Performing other assigned duties.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma.
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
  • Trauma experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
