Job Opportunity: Adolescent Psych RN - Nights

Job Description

• Provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process on the unit.
• Delegate interventions to others and supervise as appropriate.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment for effective nursing care.
• Educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in planning and managing healthcare.

Requirements

• Current Maine RN license required.
• Certifications required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Graduate of an approved Nursing program.
• 3 years previous nursing experience working with children and adolescents preferred (higher end of 1-3 years range).
• Basic Dysrhythmia knowledge preferred or must be obtained before orientation completion.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or must be obtained before orientation completion.
• Responsible, supportive team player.
• Ability to work well in high-stress situations.
• Candidate must reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility.

Additional Information

• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
• The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
• No prior travel experience required.
