Registered Nurse (LDRP RN) – Longmont, Colorado

Job Details

  • Location: Longmont, Colorado
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights
  • Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
  • Unit: Labor & Delivery / Postpartum / Mother-Baby
  • Unit Size: 12 LDRP beds, 1 C-Section OR suite
  • Annual Births: Approximately 300
  • Patient Ratios:
    • Labor patients: 1:1
    • Couplets (mother and baby): 1:2-3

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Colorado
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA
    • AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring OR Continuous Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of LDRP nursing experience within the last 3 years
    • Must be comfortable caring for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
    • Must have triage experience
    • Comfortable circulating and recovering C-Sections
  • Preferred: Prior travel nursing experience

Responsibilities & Skills

  • Titrate drips such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
  • Flexibility to assist with scheduling gaps; schedule made by leadership every 6 weeks
  • Weekend shifts required: 6-9 shifts in a 6-week schedule
  • May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
  • Rare call or standby requirements during low census periods
  • Potential to float within a regional zone if extreme need arises
  • May occasionally care for overflow mastectomy patients (orientation provided)

Orientation & Onboarding

  • 1-3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation with a preceptor
  • Clinicians must be physically present in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote

Additional Information

  • Dress code: Blue hospital scrubs provided
  • Must submit a driver’s license for radius verification (within 60 miles)
  • Time off requests must be submitted prior to assignment start
