Required Qualifications
- Active RN role
- 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Clinical Setting
- Adult and geriatric patients
- Medical-surgical telemetry float pool
- May care for cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, renal, bariatric, orthopedic, trauma, ED observation, urology post-surgical, general surgery post-appendectomy, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine patients
- May float to ICU, PCU/stepdown, and other acuity levels as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Titrate heparin drips
- Float throughout the assigned 60-mile zone
- Work across multiple units and facilities within the zone
- Be flexible with schedule changes and gap coverage
Scheduling
- Schedules are released 4–6 weeks in advance
- Weekend requirement: 6–9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
- May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
- Rare call or standby may be required
Other Notes
- Candidate interview includes the clinical team
- Must be in state for orientation week
- Housing is the traveler’s responsibility and must support the required 60-mile floating radius
