Overview
- 13-week assignment in Peoria, Illinois
- Department: Neurology Surgery
- 4 OR suites
- Approximately 200 neuro surgeries per month
Required Qualifications
- RN
- BLS
- Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- 1 year of experience with Neuro OR cases, including spinal fusions and craniotomies
- Must be well rounded in all neuro cases
Schedule
- 10-hour day shifts, 0700-1730
- Call shifts: 1530-0700
- 1 to 2 night call shifts per week
- Weekend rotation, approximately 1 per month
- Holiday call required
- No self-scheduling
Additional Details
- Charge nurse available Monday through Friday; charge nurse does not take a team/OR
- Charge nurse present 24 hours a day; house supervisor available 24/7
- OR techs are available
- Could float, but not likely due to staffing
- Blue scrubs are provided; bring personal shoes
- Typical unit orientation is 1 to 40 hours
- 1 RN circulator per room and 1 RN/scrub tech to scrub
