Job Details

Specialty: Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Jamestown, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day/Night rotating
Hours: 12 hours per shift, approximately 36 hours per week
Unit Size: 11 beds
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Varies depending on ED census
Orientation: 8 hours non-billable hospital and department orientation provided
Dress Code: Black scrubs
Floating: No floating to other units
Work Environment: Will not work alone; always staffed with others
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend required

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate total nursing care for patients of all ages using the nursing process
Provide patient and family teaching
Collaborate with ancillary nursing and patient care team members to maintain professional nursing standards
Utilize EPIC ASAP Module for computerized charting (training provided)

Required Qualifications

Active North Dakota RN license or Compact RN license valid in ND
Minimum 1 year of previous ER nursing experience (higher experience requirement takes precedence)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Flu shot required

Preferred Skills

Some cardiac knowledge preferred

Additional Notes

Local candidates are accepted
Time off requests during assignment should be communicated in advance
