Required Qualifications

Valid Histology Technologist license in New York
Histology Technologist (2 years of experience)
Histology Technologist experience within the last year
HTL
Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology, biology, or chemistry

Responsibilities

Processing, embedding, cutting, and staining surgical and autopsy tissue
Preparing and staining cytopathology specimens for Pathologist examination and interpretation
Managing patient body tissue, including preparing microscopic sections for diagnosis by Pathologist
Documentation and maintenance of supplies and equipment
Performing specialized, selective techniques for diagnostic purposes
Participating in the Quality Assurance program
