Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - Operating Room

Location

Springfield, Oregon

Employment Type

Travel assignment

Contract Length

13 weeks

Work Schedule

10-hour shifts
4 shifts per week
Call required (minimum of four call shifts per month)

Job Description

Prepare the operating room including the sterile field, surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions
Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during surgery
Manage surgical equipment and the sterile field simultaneously
Perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent retained foreign objects

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential obtained by completing a CAAHEP-accredited or other accredited surgical technology program and passing the national CST examination
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, including experience within the last year
At least 2 years of total travel experience as a Surgical Technologist
Expertise in total joint, orthospine, and da Vinci robotic surgeries

Additional Information

The facility requires vendor payment only after facility payment is received (PWP facility)
Staffing shortage: multiple permanent CSTs have resigned, making this position critical to meet staffing guidelines
