Registered Nurse (Operating Room) - Travel Position

Location

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Travel Nurse
  • Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
  • Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Weekly Hours: 48 hours
  • Weekend Requirement: 1 out of 4 weekends, 12-hour shifts
  • Call Requirement: One overnight trauma call (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM); specialty team call schedules apply for Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, and Orthopedic teams
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Level One Trauma Center
  • Patient Age Range: Pediatrics through Geriatrics
  • Number of Beds: 26
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • Unit Type: Operating Room
  • Equipment Used: Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robotics (Da Vinci Xi)
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Maine
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including OR experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience in orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, and pediatrics
  • Competency in surgical nursing for Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures, including:
    • Robotics (Da Vinci Xi)
    • Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL)
    • Nephrectomy
    • Ureteral Reimplantation
    • Hysterectomy
    • Cystectomy
    • Colpocleisis
    • Hysteroscopy
    • Ureteroscopy
  • Experience with general surgery, GU/GYN, orthopedic trauma and joints, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, and endovascular procedures
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Flexible, accountable, timely, and a team player
  • CNOR certification preferred

  • Teal scrubs issued by the hospital
