Registered Nurse (Operating Room) - Travel Position
Location
- Portland, Maine
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse
- Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
- Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 48 hours
- Weekend Requirement: 1 out of 4 weekends, 12-hour shifts
- Call Requirement: One overnight trauma call (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM); specialty team call schedules apply for Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, and Orthopedic teams
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

- Patient Age Range: Pediatrics through Geriatrics
- Number of Beds: 26
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Unit Type: Operating Room
- Equipment Used: Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robotics (Da Vinci Xi)
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including OR experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, and pediatrics
- Competency in surgical nursing for Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures, including:
- Robotics (Da Vinci Xi)
- Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL)
- Nephrectomy
- Ureteral Reimplantation
- Hysterectomy
- Cystectomy
- Colpocleisis
- Hysteroscopy
- Ureteroscopy
- Experience with general surgery, GU/GYN, orthopedic trauma and joints, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, and endovascular procedures
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Flexible, accountable, timely, and a team player
- CNOR certification preferred
