Job Overview
- Provide nursing care in a 54-bed Emergency Department designated as a Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center.
- Emergency Department treats over 60,000 patients annually.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients.
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
- Work schedule options: 36 or 48 hours per week.
- Required to work holidays as needed and every other weekend.
- Clinical, patient-facing role.
- Facility uses Meditech EMR system.
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
- Parking available.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
- Certifications:
- AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience within the last year.
