Job Overview

  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • CVICU (2 years of experience)
  • CVICU experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Cardiac Critical Care experience greater than 2 years
  • CVPICU experience

Preferred Experience

  • Peritoneal dialysis skills
  • CRRT skills
  • ECMO bedside experience

Unit Details

  • Pediatric cardiac ICU
  • 10 beds
  • 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio for critical care
  • Weekend schedule: 4 shifts per 4-week schedule

Clinical Focus

  • Post-op care with inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions
  • IV fluids and chest tube management
  • Care of post-sternotomy/open chest patients
  • Moderate sedation
