Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• ACLS
• AWHONN
• BLS
• NRP
• Antepartum experience

Clinical Skills / Experience

• Magnesium sulfate drip management
• Oxytocin management
• Insulin drip management
• Sterile vaginal exams
• FSE/IUPC placement
• Circulating cesarean sections
• NSTs
• Oxytocin induction/augmentation
• Magnesium sulfate therapy for preeclampsia and fetal neuroprotection
• Insulin drip titration

Unit Details

• Labor and delivery unit with OBED, antepartum, labor, LDOR, and LD PACU areas
• Floating may include APU
• Flexible schedule expectations
• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
• Shift cancellation may occur up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract depending on census

Preferred

• Transition care nursing of neonates experience is useful but not required

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs, top and bottom
