Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Florence, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

  • Unit: Med-Surg (Floor 3400)
  • Number of Openings: 6
  • Shift: 7 AM and 7 PM shifts (3 openings each)
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: Rotating weekends
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Float Requirements: Yes
  • Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
  • Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
  • Number of Beds on Unit: 18
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Meditech
  • Orientation: Weekly on Mondays

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
  • Minimum 5 years of Med-Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

  • Team player
  • Willing to take ownership of position

Dress Code

  • Scrub Color: Royal blue
  • No unacceptable attire specified beyond scrub color

Additional Notes

  • No call responsibilities
  • Must be able to float within the unit or facility as needed
