Description
RN Registered Nurse — ED Observation
Location
- Tacoma, Washington
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Days, 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Shift time: 0700–1930
- Every other weekend
- Standby required
Unit Overview
- ED Observation unit
- 8–16 beds/trauma bays
- 8–16 patients per day
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4:1
- Boarding patients waiting for an inpatient room
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification
- Washington RN license
- Med/Surg Telemetry experience
Unit Details
- Nurses monitor their own telemetry
- In-house security present
- Charge nurse/house supervisor available
- Nurse aides, paramedics, and patient sitters available
- House transporters available
- Lab draw performed by nursing staff
- RT support includes oxygen and SVN
- Epic used for charting
Floating
- May float to similar floors
- May be required to float within the region to St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood and St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs

- Candidates may not have been full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
