Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and intermediate-level care. Candidates must have strong stepdown or PCU experience, with the ability to manage and titrate cardiac drips being a mandatory requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions in the PCU.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and recognize changes in patient conditions.

• Manage and titrate cardiac drips independently according to provider orders and facility protocols.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized nursing care plans.

• Administer medications, monitor treatment responses, and respond promptly to clinical emergencies.

• Monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and other relevant clinical indicators.

• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes using Epic EMR.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Required Certifications

• Active RN License

• BLS

• ACLS

• NIHSS

Required Experience and Skills

• Recent PCU or stepdown nursing experience.

• Mandatory cardiac drip management and titration experience.

• Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation.

• Management of patients requiring intermediate-level care.

• Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills.

• Epic charting experience.
