Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP position requiring 2+ years of experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Level III Trauma Center with 64 beds, within the Women's Health and OB Services unit
• 8 LDRP/Antepartum beds
• Cares for L&D patients >35 weeks, GYN surgery, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Patient ratios of 1:1 for laboring patients and 1:3 for couplets/antepartum/surgical patients
• 12-hour day shifts from 7A-7P, 36 hours per week
• EMR: EPIC
• IV pump: Alaris
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• Fetal heart monitoring at bedside and nurse's station, no telemetry
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
• May float to inpatient units in a sitter or CNA role

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license
• BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in L&D/LDRP required
• Experience with NSTs, patient triage, postpartum and newborn assessments/care, and nursery care required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Candidate's middle name or initial needed for consideration
• Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN needed for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Support team includes a Charge RN (who takes patients as needed), Resource RN, and RRT
• OB MD has a 30-minute callback time
• Orientation includes NEO and at least one shift to learn unit flow
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Any scrub color permitted
• Parking available in designated yellow lines in front of the building or near the ED
• Up to 7 days RTO can be approved
• No radius rules; local candidates accepted at the same rate
• First-time travelers considered upon review
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
