RN-Physician Practice Nurse

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Overview

Clinical nurse role providing patient care in a hospital setting, with accountability to the Nurse Manager/Director.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• 1 year of clinic experience
• Clinic experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Urology experience
• Med Surg experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in physician office, urgent care, or emergency department
• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing
• Previous urology experience and/or previous MedSurg experience

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process
• Provide patient education and assess readiness to learn
• Evaluate care, communicate relevant information, and support continuity of care
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required
• Prioritize care, assess patient needs, and anticipate discharge needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams
• Support unit goals, performance improvement, and safe, clean, secure care environments
