- 6:00 PM–7:30 AM
- On-call rotation
Contract Length
- 20 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- Cath Lab Technologist (1 year of experience)
- Cath Lab Radiology Technologist experience
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or certificate of completion in radiologic technology
- Illinois Radiography License
- BLS
- ACLS
- ARRT (R)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care in the invasive lab for diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, peripheral vascular, neuro interventional, and interventional radiology procedures
- Assist with invasive procedures by circulating, scrubbing, monitoring, and supporting hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Administer contrast material when applicable, including via existing IV line or venipuncture with IV placement
- Prepare for procedures, verify patient and chart information, and complete procedural documentation
- Explain procedures and support patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality
- Troubleshoot basic PACS issues and verify image transfer
- Float to other department areas as needed, including Prep and Recovery
- Take call independently within 6 months
Additional Relevant Skills
- Neuro interventional, IR, and EP experience is a plus
- Ability to learn and retain patient care and procedure information
- Effective communication and ability to follow directions
- Accuracy with detailed work
- Compassion and caring
- Manual dexterity for handling small supplies
