Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a NICU position requiring 2 years of recent NICU experience and WA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a Level III/IV NICU setting
• Caring for neonates as young as 24-28 weeks gestation
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• 13-week assignment on night shift (4x12, 18:45-07:15)
• Required to float to Childbirth Center units based on patient care needs
• EPIC charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent, concurrent NICU experience required
• Level III/IV NICU experience preferred
• Experience with ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), arterial lines, UAC/UVC, and central/implanted line care
• Experience administering IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids
• Experience with neonatal abstinence syndrome and developmental care
• Experience with phototherapy and thermoregulation preferred

Additional Information

• Provide specialized neonatal care including feeding support, IV therapy, and emergency medication administration
• Support breastfeeding and manage handling of breast milk
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols for infectious disease control
• Required modules completed during orientation, signed off by facility managers
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no modifications after submission
• No blocked schedules accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible for rehire as a traveler
