Overview

• Travel contract for a PCU RN in Silverdale, Washington.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Shift: Days, 12 hours, 36 hours per week.
• Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 weeks; expect 25+ hours.

• Unit: PCU 6th Floor
• 32 beds
• Ratios: 1:3-4, occasional
• Floating: Yes
• Weekend requirement: Based on unit needs/demands
• Holidays: Yes

Required Qualifications

• 2 full years of experience
• Active BLS
• Active ACLS
• Active NIHSS
• WA License or Compact License

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAPD (Peritoneal Dialysis)

Clinical Environment

• Tele monitors: Yes
• Nurses read strips: Yes, with remote tele monitor techs
• Drips used on the unit include nitroglycerin, heparin, cardizem, nicardipine, amiodarone, insulin, dopamine, esmolol, labetolol, milrinone, argatroban, and aggrostat
• No vents
• Hospitalist and Intensivist in house 24/7
• IV Team available 1100-2300
• RT 24/7 in house
• Pharmacy 24/7 in house
• Floor-specific orientation includes 12 hours of policy/procedure, 12 hours on unit with preceptor, and EPIC as needed
