Implements, coordinates and supervises services in the Department of Pharmacy.

Education/Experience

• Minimum Required:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Pharmacy or a Pharm. D. from an accredited college or university
  • Three Years pharmacy experience
• Preferred:
  • Advanced Pharmacy Degree or completion of a pharmacy residency

License/Certification

• Minimum Required: Pharmacist - NYSOP - New York State Office of Professions

Work Environment

• All work is performed in offices that require working in close quarters with other employees. The pharmacy settings are air conditioned / heated.
• Adequate protective wear available for handling certain drugs (i.e., chemo) such as a mask, gown and gloves. Gloves and goggles are available for other procedures as necessary.

• Sterile Compounding Physical Demands – walking, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, manual dexterity, reading Equipment Used – syringes, needles, cart, laminar flow hood, computer, pumps Frequency Performed – 10%
• Employees are required to have reasonable access to transportation to meet work requirements made in the ordinary course of business in a timely and efficient manner.
