ER/Med Surg RN

Location

• Chamberlain, South Dakota

Assignment Overview

• Travel RN assignment in the ER/emergency room
• Critical access facility
• 5-bed unit
• Med Surg and ER nursing
• Will float between ER and Med Surg
• Able to function independently in the ER and in the Med Surg unit with up to 5 patients

Required Qualifications

• RN experience: 2 years
• 6 months Med Surg experience in the past year
• 6 months ER experience in the past year
• BLS (AHA), required before start
• ACLS (AHA), required before start
• NRP, required
• PALS

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts
• Day/Night rotate
• Every other weekend and holiday
• 3 call shifts required in a 13-week contract

Unit Details

• 25 beds
• Typical Med/Surg ratio: 3 to 4 patients per nurse, depending on census and acuity

Additional Notes

• Local candidates accepted within an 80-mile radius
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• If previously worked for Sanford Health, end date must be at least 6 months before submission
• Sanford dress code: navy scrubs, no logos; white may be worn under uniform or with a white lab coat
