ER/Med Surg RN
Location
- Chamberlain, South Dakota
Assignment Overview
- Travel RN assignment in the ER/emergency room
- Critical access facility
- 5-bed unit
- Med Surg and ER nursing
- Will float between ER and Med Surg
- Able to function independently in the ER and in the Med Surg unit with up to 5 patients
Required Qualifications
- RN experience: 2 years
- 6 months Med Surg experience in the past year
- 6 months ER experience in the past year
- BLS (AHA), required before start
- ACLS (AHA), required before start
- NRP, required
- PALS
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Day/Night rotate
- Every other weekend and holiday
- 3 call shifts required in a 13-week contract
Unit Details
- 25 beds
- Typical Med/Surg ratio: 3 to 4 patients per nurse, depending on census and acuity
Additional Notes
- Local candidates accepted within an 80-mile radius
- Must badge in and out at the facility
- If previously worked for Sanford Health, end date must be at least 6 months before submission
- Sanford dress code: navy scrubs, no logos; white may be worn under uniform or with a white lab coat
