Description
St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a RN to join our team on 6E’s Inpatient Surgical unit! We are currently offering a night shift position!! Unit/Position Summary
- 6 East is a fast-paced 35 bed Surgical unit that is an ideal place to build strong clinical skills while caring for an increasingly diverse patient population.
- Typical RN to patient ratios on this unit are 1:5, with reduced ratios of 1:4 for acuity when necessary. For CNAs, the ratios are typically 1:8-10.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for:
- Evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
- Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.

- For those still working toward a degree, St Luke’s offers tuition reimbursement, and for those who already have their degree in hand, St Luke’s offers assistance in obtaining several advanced certifications (i.e. Med-Surg, Bariatrics, Cardiovascular, and others).

Responsibilities
- Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
- Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
- Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
Qualifications
- Education: Nursing Degree (BSN preferred)
- Experience: 1+ years of RN experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
