Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with ARDMS certification and 2+ years experience, including pediatric scanning ability.
Details
- Hospital-based imaging setting with offsite float coverage at an affiliated healthplex
- 2 rooms with 2 Samsung ultrasound machines
- Caseload of 12-15 scans per tech per day
- Pediatric patient population with a high volume of abdominal/stomach cases
- EMR system is Epic
- Monday through Friday schedule, 1500-2330
- No weekend shifts, but on-call required with flexibility to pick up additional shifts as offered
- Holiday coverage worked into the schedule
- Floats as needed between Inova Alexandria Hospital and offsite locations
- 1 week floor orientation provided
Requirements
- Current BLS certification through AHA
- ARDMS certification
- License required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer
- Must be able to scan pediatric patients
- MSK knowledge is a plus
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Black scrubs required
- Local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate
- 50-mile radius rule applies for travel pay eligibility
- Returning employees may be considered 12 months after their last worked shift
