Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Med/Surg unit in a 49-bed hospital facility
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7
• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Floating required to units within competencies
• No on-call requirements
• No block or self-scheduling available
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (AL or compact) required on file at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a pre-assignment Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) test with a minimum score of 80%
• Full date of birth and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrub color provided by facility
• Fingerprinting process must begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• Orientation held every Wednesday in Tupelo
• Complete availability and scheduling flexibility required, non-negotiable
• Contracted position must be maintained as primary work commitment above any other job
• First week does not include guaranteed hours
• All compliance documents due 7 days before start date
• COVID vaccine and flu shot not required; if declined, a mask must be worn at all times except during meals
• Candidates must not have worked perm or per diem at this health system in the last 12 months
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius with local rate applied; radius rate also available
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
