CT Technologist

Overview

• Travel contract in Washington, Silverdale
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights
• Hours: 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 weeks; expect 25+ hours

Department

• Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography)
• 3 scanners/rooms

Required Qualifications

• 2 full years of CT experience
• Active BLS
• ARRT (CT)
• WA License
• Must be able to perform all routine CT exams as well as Trauma
• Radiation Badge required prior to starting the assignment

Preferred / Helpful

• IV skills are very helpful for working outpatients

Work Details

• May occasionally float to X-ray for ED, Inpatient, and Outpatient X-ray
• Common studies include routine CT exams for Inpatient, Outpatient, and ED, plus Cardiac CT, biopsy/drain, and Cryo/Microwave ablations
• Average volume: 65-70 scans/studies per day across 3 scanners
• EMR: EPIC
• PACS: SECTRA
• Department uses 1 GE REV CT and 2 GE REV HD
• Radiologist on site 24/7
• Call is optional with a 45-minute response time
• Shifts may include 10-hour and 12-hour days and nights
• Schedule is posted at least 2 weeks in advance
• Weekend requirement depends on need; some shifts are every weekend and some every other weekend
• Holiday work is required if the scheduled day falls on a holiday
• Scrubs: any color as long as they look professional
• Hospital scrubs are only provided for staff working in the OR
• Department orientation is typically the first 3 days
• Monday through Thursday 2100-0730
