Registered Nurse – ER

Location: Taos, NM 87571
Start Date: 11/09/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night 3x12 hours (19:00–07:00)
Schedule: 36 hours/week; every other weekend

Note: 12-bed ED with 10 rooms and average daily census of 50–60. High-acuity medical and trauma cases, including ski-related injuries. Critical cardiac, neurological, and major trauma patients are stabilized and transferred to higher-level facilities.

Position Overview: Provide emergency nursing care for patients with conditions ranging from minor illnesses to life-threatening medical emergencies and trauma. Responsibilities include triage, telemetry, conscious sedation, ventilator management, stabilization of critical patients, and preparation for transfer to higher-level care.

Requirements:
License: Current RN license required
Experience: Minimum 2 years of current ER and/or critical care experience; 3 years preferred
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP required; ENPC and NIHSS preferred. Facility may assist with obtaining required certifications; onsite certification time is non-billable.
Other requirement: Previous charge experience and Level I trauma experience preferred.

Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics Patient Diagnoses: Minor to major life-threatening illnesses, cardiac emergencies, neurological emergencies, major trauma, and ski-related injuries.
